The mission and vision of the VPCAT Research Scholars Program greatly aligns with the Association for Clinical and Translational Science (ACTS) annual Translational Science National Conference. Towards this end, we offer an annual VPCAT Translational Science Travel Stipend opportunity to current VPCAT scholars with accepted abstracts.

With its ties to the NIH National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA), the ACTS Translational Science national conference is considered one of the premiere settings for dissemination of translational research. Taking place each Spring at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, DC, the conference offers networking opportunities; workshops and presentations focused on over 10 translational science tracks; and discussion on best practices for clinical and translational research across academic, industry, community, and federal environments. We strongly encourage alumni and current VPCAT scholars to take advantage of this opportunity to submit an abstract to showcase their original research.

Through this travel stipend opportunity, VPCAT will support $2,500 in travel expenses (e.g., registration fees and travel related costs) for up to 2 current VPCAT scholars with accepted ACTS Translational Science abstracts. Please note that any additional remaining expenses above the $2,500 will need to be supported by their Department/Division.
