Medical Student Scholarship
The School of Medicine Alumni Association seeks to support medical students through alumni and the community. With the continued increase in both in-state and out-of-state tuition costs, it has become a primary goal of the School of Medicine Alumni Association to advocate on behalf of medical student scholarship gifts.
Humanitas MD Scholarhips
Humanitas MD Scholars are medical students who value inclusivity and equity within healthcare, and whose inclusion in the medical school reflects the evolving needs of medically underserved populations. Research studies have proven that inclusion of individuals with a wide range of backgrounds, identities, and life experiences improves educational outcomes in medical students' ability to address health disparities, advance science, and serve the needs of the public.
Alumni Gift Fund
This School of Medicine Alumni Association Fund is used to support medical student programming, student scholarships, and alumni outreach. It provided start-up funding for the Student Emergency Fund and the Wellness Program. It also funds special requests from the Dean of the School of Medicine, finances speakers for training, and helps cover housing costs for the Rural Utah Underserved Training Experience for students doing rotations in rural communities around the state.
Student Emergency Fund
The Alumni Student Emergency Fund was established by the School of Medicine Alumni Association to financially assist University of Utah medical students who are experiencing an acute hardship due to a significant life event or emergency.
