RUUTE & Regional Affairs Undergraduate Opportunities

RUUTE offers several programs for undergraduate students interested in rural and underserved healthcare careers. These opportunities provide research, outreach, and mentorship experiences designed to help students explore pathways to medical school while supporting communities across the Intermountain West.

Undergraduate Ambassador Program
A year-long program where students develop health education lessons and present them to middle school students in rural communities.

Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE)
A 10-week research program where students work with faculty mentors on rural and underserved health research projects.
