Jack Moore, MD (He/Him)

  • About Me

I grew up in a small, midwest farm town, but have always had a desire for adventure and a passion for learning. During college, I was pushed to take a job as a medical scribe in my local ED, and after a VERY intense first shift, I was sold on Emergency Medicine. My fascination with physics and biochemistry soon evolved into a pursuit of Medical Toxicology. However, my proudest achievement is that I have visited 42 U.S. National Parks with plans to see them all in the (hopefully) near future!

    Medical Areas of Interest

Toxicology, Wilderness Medicine, and Medication Education/Mentorship.

    Interests & Hobbies

Favorite TV Show: The Office (U.S.). Favorite Music: Glass Animals. Favorite Book: The Count of Monte Cristo. Favorite Movie: Grand Budapest Hotel. Hobbies: Skiing, disc golf (much less stressful than real golf), skateboarding, ice hockey, hiking/camping, rock hounding, cooking (homemade pizza and pasta), taking care of my ever-growing plant collection, and looking for a new furry friend to adopt!

    Why Utah?

So many reasons - Access to quality outdoors all year long, solid vibes across the entire EM program, excellent clinical training/faculty, and a long-overdue dream to move out of Illinois! My partner is an outdoor tour guide and has been working out of Utah for a few years now so we are very excited to close the distance gap and start our lives in Salt Lake City with all the wonderful people and pets!
