  • About Me

I grew up in all parts of Indiana from the country-side to the big-city suburbs, eventually following my middle-school sweetheart (and now wife!) to Purdue University for undergrad. While at Purdue, I became a scribe in the ED and the rest is history!

    Medical Areas of Interest

Sports Medicine, Rural Medicine, Critical Care, Ultrasound.

    Interests & Hobbies

Endurance sports like marathon running, road biking, and triathlons have a death grip on my soul. When I'm not asking, "why do I keep doing this to myself," I love to spend time with my wife, son, and dogs hiking, camping, thrifting, and getting fun drinks. Then to round things out, I like to play video games with my high school boys as well as talk about Indianapolis sports (go Colts, Pacers, and Fever!).

    Why Utah?

During my away rotation, I was struck by the strong sense of family among the faculty and residents. Furthermore, the learning environment here is one that is both collaborative and supportive as it pushes you to grow. It’s an environment that encourages challenges while also emphasizing wellness. So if you take that and the fact that SLC is basically a mountain paradise, you get my dream program!
