  • About Me

I grew up in the Bay Area and went to a Waldorf school for elementary school. For those who don’t know, Waldorf school kids are not given tests or homework and all take gardening, knitting, dance, woodwork, English, and math class. For college I went to Whitman College, a small outdoorsy liberal arts school. Between undergrad and med school I took three years off, living in California to spend time with my parents, Seattle to be with close friends and rock climbing, and Hawaii for surfing.

    Medical Areas of Interest

Rock climbing, surfing, snowboarding, free diving, spearfishing, photography, white water kayaking, cliff jumping, and napping.

    Why Utah?

I chose Utah for the people, location, and global health. During the interview everyone was extremely down to earth and some kept close contact with me throughout the interview season. Utah is a great location for both climbing and snowboarding and I’m considering taking up skiing and mountain biking. Utah was one of the only programs that has a robust global health program that does work in Vietnam. I worked on several global health projects there and was excited to continue going back.
