Rotation Dates

You will self schedule twelve 4-hour scanning shifts with specific attendings (schedule available the month prior to the rotation). 

Textbooks

Introduction to Bedside Ultrasound ibook by Dawson and Mallin is provided by the course. A reading schedule will be determined by the student. 

Dress Code

Scrubs will be provided by the division of Emergency Medicine. Student identification must be clearly displayed at all times in the emergency department. Jeans, sweats, T-shirts, shorts, and sandals should not be worn while working in the ED.

Visiting Students

The ultrasound elective is unavailable to visiting students.
