Julia Britland

Role: MedHub Systems Analyst
What are your primary job responsibilities?
I am responsible for supporting our institution's users of MedHub, the system that the GME office and programs use to manage administrative tasks and track academic progress. My day-to-day tasks include answering questions, creating learning resources, maintaining program information, and analyzing our MedHub practices to ensure they comply with accreditation standards and protect sensitive data.

What are you most excited about working in GME?
I am thrilled to play a part in the healthcare world that allows me to solve problems with technology. I always wanted to work in healthcare because I wanted to do something for the wellbeing of others, but I also enjoy approaching problems with an analytical mindset, and I think this role blends those goals perfectly.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I am excited to work in a field that feels important to me and to live geographically close to my family, so for the foreseeable future, I want to dig into GME here in the U and become an expert. I am also interested in exploring more about health informatics technology and eventually going back to school for a graduate degree.

What are your hobbies?
I love baking, traveling, going on walks, visiting museums, playing video games, and listening to classical music. I am curious about nearly everything and particularly enjoy learning about the biological sciences and European history, languages, and culture.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Pasta Napoletana never gets old as long as it's made with fresh pasta.

What are your favorite words of wisdom to give?
The best decisions are based on your values, not others' advice.
