Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Cerificate

The Responsible and Ethical Conduct of Research (RECR) Certificate acknowledges the study of the ethical issues involved in research and is designed to promote RECR instruction in areas such as animal welfare, authorship, collaborative science, conflict of interest, data management, human subject protections, mentor/trainee responsibilities, peer review, and research misconduct. For individuals receiving support from federal funding agencies, RECR instruction must be undertaken at least once during each career stage, and at a frequency of no less than once every four years.
