Asylum Clinic

The mission of the University of Utah School of Medicine Asylum Clinic is to:

• Provide forensic documentation of the physical and psychological manifestations of torture and ill-treatment experienced by individuals applying for asylum in the United States
• Ensure sufficient access to these services in the community by:
• Training clinicians on how to perform these evaluations
• Training medical students through a medical student elective and in-clinic observation
• Building a network of providers in Salt Lake City.
